Mr LA picked us up at the house, and we drove for about one and a half hour to Skydive Elsinore.
When we arrived at Elsinre we met up with Joel - the action man. Our Hero and a friend of Mr LA. He was really cool with us, and made us slightly more relaxed than when we arrived. After some instructions ("fly like a banana"), signing tons of papers - where we promised to not sue anyone whatever would happen - they let us into the plane.
The whole thing got kind of surreal. I couldn't grasp that I was in an airplane about to jump. When we reached 12 000 feet (3600 m) we were ready. My instructor Joel linked himself on my back and we went to the edge. You know the feeling of looking out of the window when you're up in a regular airplane? Well, that's how it was. The height was abstract. When we leaped over the edge and jumped it felt like jumping from a rooftop - you fall straight down reaching about 155 miles/hr (250 km/hr). It was truly amazing. My fear transformed into joy, and when we pulled the string to unfold the parachute it was true beauty. Silent and slow. We were probably flying for about 4 minutes, before making a soft landing. Thank You Joel & Mr LA! :)
