Southern Sweden BBQ

I met this wonderful women who ran an outdoor barbeque place next to the fairly posh hotel 'Ystad Saltsjöbad'. She happily served me hot water, since she new about the good effects of this - she'd just been to an Ayurvedic Health Spa in India, where she drank hot water every day. But when my friend explained I grew up vegetarian, with parents who taught me how to meditate when I was less than 5 years old, she thought it would be good for me to take a break by having a half roasted pig for dinner. Last lines of the clip:

BBQ QUEEN: Nej. Bara alkoholfri öl om det är du.

Åsa Riton won her dream trip!

I recorded this just after I got the message that I won the trip. It was truly a surprise, since the guys in the jury kept a real poker face during the interview. I had lunch with my mum when I got the phonecall that I was chosen for the job. You can imagine my face. The guys at the Indian restaurant probably thought I won...a trip around the world!

My brother Erik and his friend Philip are on a road trip from NYC to Los Angeles right now. I'm supposed to hook up with them in LA after my stop in Reykjavik, Iceland. That is, if they make it coast to coast. It seems like they're about to get brainwashed by listening to American advertising all day long in the car.

Roadtrip to Österlen

On a roadtrip with my friend Marietta von Hausswolff von Baumgarten and her 2 sons to sooooouthern Sweden. Stopped at Gränna to get some typical Swedish 'polkagrisar' (red and white mint candy) and then we were all set for the rest of the trip.

10 days left...

...packing stuff for glacier mountains and underwater adventures, small bottles for some things, little clothes for most things, lots of tech stuff for everything.

Stepmum, dad & stepdad at the country house. They (my mum too) celebrated my trip with a "travel cake" and a special "travel song". All so sweet!
