Day 1 - Reykjavik, Iceland

Finally I'm off to Iceland. I had an amazing dinner at a fishrestaurant called 'Sægreifinn' down at the harbour. I met a family from Toronto during the dinner, who were on their way to the Faroe Islands. I couldn't resist when they asked me to taste the whale... Thanks Marc for great camera work!

Hi Åsa. I'm impressed that you tried the whale meat when you are a vegetarian. I have had it quite a few times but then again I'm from Norway...it was a very common dish when I grew up. I look forward to the coming reports. What camera are you using for filming this by the way?

Regards
Gard

Great Åsa!

Good luck on the rest of the trip. I will certainly try to follow you daily. Also wondering about the camera, actually.

See you! /Johan

Thanks a lot! :)

Yeah, the whalemeat was quite an experience - kind of like chewing on a piece of wood with fishoil and blood or something.

I'm using a few different cameras. The whale eating clip and pics from Day 1 was taken with my phone (!) the 8 megapixel Sony Ericsson C905, which I think is great! The application film and up-coming interview with Mr Silla/Múm I made with my 3 chip Sony PDX10P dv cam. I also have a Canon EOS 30D for stills.

See you!

Dear 'Anonymous',
